I am a history buff who has been reading books since I was a teenager. There are no page numbers - make sure you have a book mark handy or you will never find where you paused. It explains so much of lives little(big) mishaps. Can't wait for Charles to write another one. This book is fabulous. International History ReviewSparkle[s] with originality and innovation. Cant wait for the next book. When I read reviews if a author does that, especially unexpectedly, I tend to steer clear. unless you are one of those people who had a golden childhood and you cannot imagine any parent, especially a mother, hating her precious little girl and violently abusing her, almost to the point of death. It was as not as good as the first book. I love and admire the book - but I'm not so thrilled about the "Illustrated Classics" version. Yes, I can punch holes in each page and reconstruct the book, but wouldn't it be much better to have the manufacturer do a proper job in the beginning.
